What are people's thoughts about winter climbing this weekend, In Snowdonia or the lakes? Is there enough snow/ice for a day out ice climbing ? Not fussed about a walk in, cheers

Very much doubt there is much ice climbing yet, but of course there is lots more to winter climbing than just ice climbing. I'm going to the Lakes on Saturday and hope to get a route done! Good luck - but think buttresses or ridges I reckon.

Oh yeah! Cool.
I think with that route you can't go wrong, it will be wintery at least. I want to do a mixed route but some discussion of some aspects at least not getting hoared up. :-/ Hmmmm, shall have to put my thinking cap on.
