I was planning to visit Almscliff for the first time this Saturday, but a quick check on google shows a 60% chance of rain...

All the guidebooks say that Almscliff is very quick drying, but what does that practically mean? Minutes? Hours? I don't want to drive all the way out there and have nothing to climb!

In reply to konrad7272: this time of year and with it being windy I'd say something will be climbable after a few hours.
I'm always optimistic with weather forecasts but tbh a 60% chance of rain wouldn't give me much hope.

At the 'cliff, 20 minutes can be all it takes. Depends on the wind direction but with a choice of routes on all aspects, something is sure to be in. Are your arms feeling strong?
