I've been looking around for a while online and it's very hard to find any information about the Matterhorn's east face besides the Furggen ridge and some skiing videos. Does anyone know anything about it?

You know when you hear about rockfall on the Hornli... guess where it goes?

Apart from the NF, I think all the faces are pretty esoteric as far as popularity is concerned.

That said, descending the Hornli, we took a variation on the East face, going down an easy snow ramp down rightwards until an easy left ledge system regained the ordinary route. Fairly obvious on some photos and missed out on a lot of congestion. Kept glancing over my left shoulder on the way down onto the face to ensure that rejoining the Hornli was never going to be a problem.

From the pictures and the skiers who climb it, it looks like a snow slope all the way up. Unsure about the angle though.
