Black Diamond teamed up with Alex Honnold to create an inflatable crash pad you wear on your back to protect you from a falls while soloing. The Honnsolo is supposedly good for the first 50 feet. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before pads for greater than 50' are developed.

But is it ethical? That is can you really claim you've soloed something when wearing such equipment?

I prefer the full body spherical zorb design as you can also use it for rapid mountain descents.
