Is there anywhere that fits this bill?

A pub or hotel that does half decent food and beer with camping not too far away, either a campsite or decent wild spots. Not in Brodick, Lamlash or Lochranza (unless the Lochranza hotel has improved dramatically, it was pretty grim last time I was there). We'll be travelling by bike.

Wild camp at Sannox, lovely grassy spots a few hundered metres along a track from the cemetery. Then an easy wee cycle to the Corrie Hotel.

Cheers for the suggestion but having done a bit of googling I think we're going to go to the Lagg Hotel. Suits our Sunday plans better.

The lochranza hotel was still a bit rubbish at Easter. But Catacol Bay Hotel a mile or so further round the coast was a lot nicer - some of the group walked there from the Lochranza campsite, but with bikes it's obviously fairly close.

Lagg is good (as is the Velo Cafe there), but there is also a campsite, and pub, at Kildonan - also some bouldering on the beach as well (really easy, just nice to while away the evening before going to the pub style bouldering).

The sea breeze at Kildonan keeps the midges away.
