Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to making a false statement to FBI investigators, and is cooperating with prosecutors apparently implicating a "senior official" within Trump's campaign team of instructing Flynn to discuss American sanctions during the 2016 presidential election campaign.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/dec/01/trumps-ex-national-security-adviser-michael-flynn-ch...

American prosecutors are going to start knocking these dominos down and I expect it to come down to how loyal to Trump his closer team are, as to whether Trump himself goes down as well.

I don't like popcorn, but I might just get the cheese and crackers out for this.

It wouldn't surprise me if Trump just calls it fake evidence.

Could be what Trump thinks no longer matters to Mueller. Looks like Mueller after the whole crooked lot, bringing them down bit by bit. Trump I guess can’t pardon these people without looking complicit.

I’m getting the wine, cheese and crackers ready. Pity HIGNFY is filmed on Thursdays.

Flynn was national security advisor when the crimes were committed, and he got a plea deal! You don't get plea deals for incriminating people lower down the pecking order than yourself...

It's more about before they were in government, because it's illegal for a private citizen to conduct diplomacy on behalf of the US. As they allegedly communicated to the Kremlin that they should have a relaxed response to the Russian embassy expulsions in the US, that's exactly what they were doing. This interaction leads on to possibility of a quit pro quo relationship between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

> Sorry but what are the crimes?

We don't know. He has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, so all we know for sure is that he was guilty of at least one other crime that carried a higher penalty than that. We can also surmise that the FBI has good reason to suspect that someone more senior was guilty of similar (or more serious) crimes, or possibly that someone at a similar level was guilty of something significantly more serious. Time will tell.

Why would anybody be loyal to Trump? What on earth do any of his gang, Kellyanne Conway, Sarah Sanders, Stephen Miller et al, think they are going to get out of it? If they are not complete dupes they must be utterly evil.

Well, quite. I'm hoping that they're all as venal and cowardly as Trump himself.

Nope. I've tried putting that through Google Translate and it still doesn't make any sense.

I apologise. I assume English isn't your first language.

OK I try more.
Americans ruling class initiate war to Syria however that important war is lost:cause is by Russian Federation. This Americans ruling class now very anger with President Putin so for revenge use multifarious attack method toward Russian Federation continually to weaken make less strong.OK?
Clinton representing ruling class who lead war to Syria -Saudi king contribute fund for hers election campaign, addition point- however lost it also lost American national election to outside oligarch Donald Trump who is happy have good relations of peace and cooperations with Russian Federation which no no no to defeated American ruling class.
How Americans ruling class stop new President Trump make previous declaration of the good will with peace toward Russian Federation ruling class?
Is the easy:Big noise constant of accusations with no evidences say Russians win American national election by hire adverts means dangerous big threats to the American democracy, which is a nonsense to informed observer who see this game though young or not interested observer take at the value of the face unfortunately they in majority.

This American establishment ruling class tactic make any and all raproachement with Russian Federation by President Trump to look like a treason or reason to procecute makes any matter of Russia hot potato to avoid for President Trump which enable American ruling class freedom to further militarization against Russia Federations to weaken and more perpetual storyies of big bad terrible Russians bear is enemy.

Well, the "with no evidence" part of your post is pretty much bollocks. There's already plenty of circumstantial evidence in the public domain and Mueller's investigation is about to drop a whole load of specific evidence on the table.

Poor old ex-KGB President-for-life Putin. He's just misunderstood, isn't he?

I think Tanke said previously that he is from somewhere in Central Europe, Czech or Hungary maybe? Might have remember wrongly on that.

I'm still fascinated by people who see themselves as communists or socialists who end up taking pro-Putin positions. Putin is one of the richest people in the world these days, and he may be many things but a Marxist is not one of them.

She's playing the long game if it is. But Tanke has put up a profile picture of himself doing some DIY in a loft, so I'm happy to take him at his word.

He didn't know what a "tankie" was in old British far left terminology when I asked him if that's where his name came from a few weeks ago. With Sonja off either winter climbing or building a workers' cooperative paradise in Venezuela maybe, its nice to have someone else fill her considerable B3 boots.
