Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to making a false statement to FBI investigators, and is cooperating with prosecutors apparently implicating a "senior official" within Trump's campaign team of instructing Flynn to discuss American sanctions during the 2016 presidential election campaign.

American prosecutors are going to start knocking these dominos down and I expect it to come down to how loyal to Trump his closer team are, as to whether Trump himself goes down as well.

It's more about before they were in government, because it's illegal for a private citizen to conduct diplomacy on behalf of the US. As they allegedly communicated to the Kremlin that they should have a relaxed response to the Russian embassy expulsions in the US, that's exactly what they were doing. This interaction leads on to possibility of a quit pro quo relationship between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

We don't know. He has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, so all we know for sure is that he was guilty of at least one other crime that carried a higher penalty than that. We can also surmise that the FBI has good reason to suspect that someone more senior was guilty of similar (or more serious) crimes, or possibly that someone at a similar level was guilty of something significantly more serious. Time will tell.
