Impressive stuff...

She’s a crack beast. Salathe does not see many free repeats.

In reply to pasbury:

Yeah I wonder how many free ascents it's had. Less than 10 ?

Dunno, but they’re not routine.

Twelve up to 2009, according to Mr Cummins:

Which is still very few considering its accessibility and appeal - and the preponderance of very good crack climbers in Yosemite.

Interesting link. Thanks.

I note that some of those ascents were done by the same people: Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold both did the route free twice. So the number of climbers up till then is even fewer: only 10.

Indeed; it's clearly a pretty select club.

Also, some of those 10 were not big wall style from the floor.

A motivational ascent! Well done.

Hasn't Caff done it? And Mayan Smith-Gobat? Didn't see them on the list.

In reply to 1poundSOCKS:

Yes. The list goes up to 2009. I think Smith-Gobat was 2011, and McHaffie/McManus 2014.

I think Dan came really close, but didn't quite manage a free ascent.
