Recently a team of researchers did extensive research on various samples that were collected over the years as Yeti specimens. However, after thorough research it was found out that no such creature exists and its only bear specimens.

So... science is responsible for the demise of folklore and legend ... a great shame no ?

That's not how science works. What you mean to say is:

"After thorough research it was found that currently available samples are not from the proposed 'Yeti' species, and at present it seems unlikely that such a creature exists."

We've never let evidence never get in the way of a good story before now, I doubt that's changed.

Only bears !!!!

Read this:

Basically Oxford university genetics prof chases around world testing all known bits of supposed yeti type things for mytochondrial DNA.

All are cows etc but for two. Both in the Himalayas. Both the same DNA as polar bears, polar bears 100,000 years old, except these are not 100,000 years old.

Convinced me. Good read anyway.

I'm not convinced they exist at all but if David Attenborough and Brian Blessed think it's possible then I'm open to the possibility. They're certainly not in the same territory as the Loch Ness Monster or other fabled single creatures, there's nothing logically impossible about the Yeti's existence but the more research gets done and the more years people look for them the less likely it is the exist. Unless they've suddenly broken into a new dawn of science, they haven't proved they don't exist despite how the media portray it.
