So I want to mount my rock rings from my loft hatch (or potentially a door frame), but before I go a head and make a proper mounting for the loft hatch has anyone use a pull up bar to mount them? I was thinking the expanding pull up bars however I was a bit worried that it might not be strong enough to hold it all up when in use. 

So just wondered if anyone had done this?

You're talking about Metolius Rock Ring fingerboards? Surely if the pull-up bar will hold a pull-up, it will hold some Rock Rings with you dead-hanging off them?

Yes apologies I am talking about  Metolius Rock Ring fingerboards. 

I agree about the dead hanging off them however I was worried that maybe once you started doing any movement on them problems would then arise. 

My rock rings hang off a pull bar in a door frame. No problems so far.

Annoyingly my door frames where I want to mount the bar have glass above them so I  cant use one that hooks around I'd have to use an expanding one.
