Best bits:  Swallows a plenty, blackcap, willow warbler, chiffchaff, treecreeper, goldcrest, nuthatch, GS woodpecker, buzzard, loads goldfinch, tawny owl , and 95 percent sure a hobby!

I heard our first willow warbler this morning with 'the dog.  Yet to see a swallow.  (Live on NE coast!)  Most of my mornings are watching seabirds! and sometimes the odd cetacean.

Butterflies seem to be wonderfully plentiful, which is good news for them and the creatures that feed on them.
I find it strangely comforting that the non-human world is cracking on with things and perhaps even benefiting from our very human crisis.

I reckon the mild winter has meant higher than average numbers but of stuff, combined with more time for many to watch stuff.

Whitethroat and yellowhammer with linnets a plenty this morning
