Increase in nesting birds?

While we've been in lockdown it seems the birds have been busy moving in.

First time out yesterday and today and found nesting birds at two local crags, in places I've never seen before.

Eider Duck nesting just north of the col to the Grassy Pinnicle at Souter Head and a Rock Pippet (I Think) in the crack of The Hairline (S) at Clashrodney. A chick has just hatched at the former place, so please avoid the slab completely.

Has anyone else noticed an increase in nests post lockdown?

Absolutely. I had to clean out nests and eggs on several of the jamming cracks in the area and I've never had to do that before.

Seems that way to me. But it could be the weather as well?

I've seen/heard more skylarks this spring than ever. Likewise lapwings.

Obvs less muppets with dogs off the leads helps

Yes pesky Peregrines no doubt, nesting along the full length of Stanage now apparently.

Seriously though, i have seen cuckoos and more buzzards, although the latter were being seen off by crows every time
