I've just seen on Instagram that Chris Sharma has done the FA of a new 9b+, 10 years since he last sent that grade. Legend.

It’s probably 8b and just his age making it feel like 9b+.

To be fair, I thought he’d suggested 9b/+ for the grade.

It’ll be interesting to see what repeaters make of it.

If Stemac is anything to go by then Sharma might have some more hard routes still in him…

Good interview by Sharma reflecting on getting his shit together to do this with the other things going on his life (IMO best to scroll down past the guff to get to the actual interview)

What I found most interesting in that interview was his tactic of three days on at the crag (Mon, Tue & Wed). It has obviously paid off but I can’t help but wonder if that was “because of” or “in spite of” the unusual 3 on, 4 off approach…

Too right Simon.

At a session if things don't go to plan and I am feeling a bit down I adapt.

Darth Grader gives it 9c, I think Sharma is sandbagging us

In reply to dinodinosaur:

9b+ or 9c? Either way he's not sandbagging me 😂
