I'm not sure we ever found a "best" when we went last year, from a couple of local guides, rockfax and an old local guide from 20 something years ago. All had plus points and all lacked in other areas.

i'd def reconmend verdon 22 from lei lagramusas. very complete and detailed. the guidebooks by Pascal Faudou are better but no more available in la Palud...
