In Buthan and Nepal air pollution totally blocked views of the Himilayahs from any location except a short peak at Fishtale in Kathmandu. Very disappointing. We did not treck, but could. Would taking a a treck overcome this problem? Thank you.

I guess it might, but the transport which takes you to where you need to be could plausibly add to the pollution too*?

*Thinking about things in the abstract, that is, rather than having a dig.

Not unless everyone trecked, all the time.

As neither Buthan and Nepal are large industrial countries, where do you think the air pollution is coming from?

While some comes from other countries the typically undeveloped nation practices like wood fires, burning household waste, appalling vehicle standards and so on are a major problem.
