Interesting timing just hours before the Members Open Forum! I had a few things to say on him re-standing as I’m sure did quite a few others.
Nevertheless we should be thankful sense has prevailed though it was worrying that it had progressed so far with a recommendation by the Nominations Committee.
It would be too much to hope that he would acknowledge personal responsibility for his part in destroying the BMC’s formerly good financial position (nearly £1million spaffed away in two years).
Andy Syme’s comment: “…he will I'm sure be pleased to reflect he is leaving the BMC with far stronger foundations than he inherited..” is both deluded and sickening and reflective of the attitudes that led to them losing control of the organisation.
