Hi. Have they been discontinued?  Not appearing on the scarpa website and limited sizes available from resellers.
I’m guessing not many of us out here who love them!

that would be a shame, maybe they are getting an update ?

I’ve dropped Scarpa an email to confirm. I’ll get back to you as soon as I hear back.

I'd be gutted if they stopped making these. That said, I'd be delighted if they brought out a model with a decent heel. That separate strip of orange rubber is an unpredictable disaster. The heels on the boostics are better, but still far behind the great heels on the instincts (which otherwise don't fit me).

They can do it on the instincts, why not here?

In reply to Dave Mayes:

We can only hope there is an update with a new heel (current one is pretty poor!), which is the only bit (for me) that could be improved.  Instincts just don't fit

I love the older version of the Booster (not the oldest; maybe the middle one?) but they have come to the end of their rubber now. Was looking into a re-sole and see that Northern Soles have smashed their price up to £50! Almost as much as Llanberis. Seems like a race to the top for pricing on re-soles these days.

Has anyone tried them with a thicker rubber at all? I know Boosters are meant to be soft but I had XS Edge put on my Magos when I got them re-soled and I like them. I'm in the region of 75kg so don't find Edge too stiff.

I don’t know where you saw that. Northern Sole charges £40

Says £50 on their website.

And was £45 in the summer when I had another pair done so they can't have charged £40 for a while.

In reply to Gareth:

Just had word back from Scarpa - they have indeed been discontinued in the UK. They're still in production, so you'll be able to get them elsewhere in the world, but they won't be available within the UK.

In reply to Rob Greenwood - UKClimbing:

Another one bites the dust for us poor soles with Egyptian feet. They will probably replace it with another middle-toe focussed soft bouldering slipper. Great.

It is a tragic irony that those of us with the biggest big toes are trodden on the heaviest by society
