Why hasn't the salary been added to the advert? If it's so competitive then surely you can tell us all what it is...?

There is no obligation for a company to state salary details in a advert.
If you think all job adverts on UKC should, then perhaps contact UKC directly and request this as a policy.

Perhaps there should be. I feel it's rude and disrespectful to people's time if they get through the process only to find out the salary is lower than expected. The company has set out their requirements and expectations, why not tell people one of the important aspects of the job - the salary...

Company: Hello, we would like to purchase some of your time.

Employee: Alright, how much are you willing to pay for it?

Company: I can’t tell you that!

Employee: ?????

I essentially agree with you, but ultimately it's up to the company to state it voluntarily, or for UKC to have a policy that says salary must be stated in all job adverts.
If you (and others) feel that strongly about it, then contact UKC with your concerns as I feel that we are in danger of annoying the advertiser and/or UKC if this thread continues in this vein - see my recent 'Boulder' thread...
