Hi there,

Travelling to Kalymnos mid April.

Climb Kalymnos website is no longer providing any updated ferry timetables.

Has anybody travelled there this year or has experience of travelling there at this time of year previously?

Any help would be a appreciated, don't want to end of stranded in Kos!

There will probably be ferries. There might not be ferries. I was once stranded on Kos. I lived and caught a ferry in the morning.

There are always ferries unless it is really windy, four a day in the middle of winter, more as the season picks up. If it is windy the catamaran (Dodecanese Seaways) goes from Kos Town daily. Kalymnos Travel Group (FB) has the latest schedules, though April's probably won't be out until April!

I'm baffled by the various websites - does anyone know if you need to book ferry tickets in advance? If yes, how? If no, can you pay with card/cash on the ferry/at the terminal? Thanks all.

In reply to clam5casin0:

I have always paid at the kiosk at the terminal.

Yeah, even in peak season I've never seen either of the ferries sell out.

Awesome, thanks both.

No worries.  They take both card and cash at the kiosk by the way.

No worries.  It opens about half an hour before the ferry is due to leave, so just sit and have a chill and a nice cold beer at the dock whilst you wait, no need to panic.
