Being old enough to remember the early attempts at path building I can really appreciate the skill and effort.  Just strolled down the band from Bowfell; slap on the back for whoever slaved over that one.

I was walking in Corrie Fee recently, and I was struck by the endeavour that must have gone into the path building up the corrie headwall. Good path building is a godsend, especially for those of us of advanced years whose days of effortless ascents on trackless slopes are some way behind them.
