With all the yoof of today permanently pulling plastic, the grit will get overgrown and mossy. Something needs to be done.. 

I'm doing my bit, been to Wimberry and Brimham in the last week,  and you're right, they're both getting dirty and lichenous.

They're also ... a bit tough and an acquired taste, like bitter beer. Hmm, that's disappearing as well 🤔
