The leaflet for these guys was pinned to the noticeboard in my building today.

It doesn't say much about what they actually stand for save for small government, personal liberty and some very vague statements about migration and indoctrination.

We've had this kind of party in the Netherlands as well, they went into a coalition with classic liberals, far-right nationals and the farmer's party and surprise surprise, f-all happened during their very short rule save for a lot of infighting. And now they're polling disastrous numbers.

So among other things, getting rid of the Scottish legal system and presumably the Scottish, Welsh and NI assemblies who have legislative powers.

I'd say they're clowns and best ignored but the last ten years have taught me that's not always the best idea.

We’re in good hands if the effort they put into proofreading this is any indication.

Still torn between “it’s a 13 year old’s homework on what  a generic fascist leaflet would look like” and “Kemi Badenoch’s plan B”

Indeed, but if they do gain any traction, they'll split the reform vote, so be grateful for small mercies.....

One of the fracture parties from reform.

Founded by one of their senior members who decided that Farage and co are a bit woke and liberal for their tastes.

The other "main" breakaway is "Restore Britain" by Rupert Lowe.

I might be wrong but isn't the shouting head in the photo a regular on GB News?

I admit to watching this sickening channel regularly to keep informed of what the enemies of sosciety are saying.  Know your Enemy!

There was The Family Party at the last election. They stood for “traditional values.” Their candidate had a face like an insecure 13 year old having his school photo taken moments after following through while standing in front of the girl he fancies.

They didn’t do very well.

The only thing that concerns me about the plethora of batshit right wing/christian/etc parties is that they are generally much better at keeping their eyes on the prize than left leaning factions who will happily throw the country under a bus over angels dancing on pins scale details.

Ben Habib, an immigrant who hates immigration. Hmm. He seems like a typical tory boy, who defected to reform. Then like a spurned lover, flounced away and started his own party. His wiki, is rather neutral, but seems to have been edited almost every month since 2019.

Ignoring issues that people care about (regardless of whether they actually should care about them or not, they do) is a good way to further these parties, yes.

Though to be honest the growth of Reform is in part due to the Tories having destroyed themselves by way of a combination of infighting and gross incompetence, and in part due to Labour acting like a third-rate Tory party.  Both of those things could have been avoided with a bit of basic competence.

Was this the building in which you live, or the one in which you work ?

If the latter, then I do hope you ask HR to investigate and deal with whoever it is putting anything political on a noticeboard.

If the former, then scrap this rubbish and put something rather left-wing up instead - just to wind up the extremist in question.

Either way, you have my pity for living or working with whoever it was.

At last! someone prepared to stand up for right-thinking people against all the muggers, buggers, joggers, doggers, long-haired weirdos, short-haired-weirdos, rear admirals, queer admirals....

Are they responsible for this  epidemic of flag erecting? Our neighbour has one fluttering aloft on a flexible pole. Just to make sure that everybody knows what the St George flag is for, his has the word "England" written across it.

For a brief hopeful moment I thought it was to do with the Women's Rugby World Cup. But, of course, no.

In reply to Pete Pozman:

With the views frequently expressed by the type of people who wrap themselves in either the English or Union Flags, I would imagine they are absolutely against any females taking part in sport at all - they preferring women to be barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen.

As for taking part in Rugby - the very thought of it must give them apoplexy.
