"This morning I set off from Ambleside around 8am. Last night it dumped in much of Northern England; my dad had to sweep 3 inches of snow off his car in Darwen, Lancashire and whilst climbing at Kendal Wall last night there were strong flurries outside. Didn't know what to expect today as when back at Ambleside last night at around 10.30pm it was raining. It was wet and cloudy in the morning but cleared as I drove into Langdale."
