On the 15/08/08, James Noble head-pointed a first ascent on the Rabbits Head South Face on Jersey, naming the route Authentic Desire E7 6c.

James commented: "The route is top quality and a real gem of the area - well worth a visit from the mainland!"

"A fall from the second crux would likely end in severe injury on the slab below, or worse if the dubious gear fails sending the climber into the depths of the gully."

If the moves are 6c shoudn't the route get more than E7 if it's so dangerous?!

Bizarrely, having given this route E7, James says this on jerseyclimbs.com...

"I worked the route quite extensively, maybe spent 15 / 20 hours on it (took at least 10 to even work out the crux), but for an onsight, i think it would be more like e8 due to the very hard to read and unlikely nature of the sequence."

So you may be right and it may actually be E8 being as the E grade is supposed to be specifically for the onsight!

In reply to pmot: There's many routes with the same name, why is it a shame?
