At this year's Outdoor Trade Show in Liverpool, we got a look at the new models of climbing shoes coming out next year from the likes of Scarpa, La Sportiva, Unparallel, Boreal, Ocun, Red Chili and Tenaya.

Any chance you’ll review the new Ocun Diamond S any time soon? Really interested to see how it compares to the Oxi (which is now discontinued) and the new format Ozone.

We've got a pair of these at the moment, so look for a review and video over the next 1-2 months.

This seems a suitable thread to ask... I seem to remember a shop with a massive range of shoes that did fitting appointments (an hour long or something). Does this ring a bell to anyone?

To me, shoes only exist in Blue or Orange, but my wife struggles to get a shoe that fits her heel well so I've been thinking about going to somewhere that offers a really good fitting service.

I can't remember anything specifically, but if you give any good independent a call I've no doubt they'd be able to help. Outside, Joe Browns, and The Climbers Shop (just to name a few) all have staff who'd be willing to spend time advising you on what might be suitable.

The fact each of the above have in a LOT of climbing shoes also helps, because there's nothing quite like trying a load on to get a good feel for what works. When you do find something that fits it's a great feeling...

Cheers Rob. We tried in the climbers shop once but quickly began to run out of options. Though we had a dog and baby in tow which definitely made it a less than ideal time!

We will try again next time we are in the Lakes, or maybe at one of the Depots which seem to have a massive range these days!

I've got mine in the Instinct VS/VSR. Such wonderful shoes right out of the box!

I can very much relate. When I go into shops these days it’s usually armed with two kids intent on destruction, so it’s not the relaxing retail experience it once was 😂

Ah yes, that’s the one! Thank you. We’ll have to book in a slot and check out some of the limestone around there afterwards.

Highly recommended James. They got me into a brand I would never have thought of trying. I thought I had found the best fit for me feet but these are miles better.

Callum is fantastic there. Really knows his stuff and takes great pleasure in making happy cutomers.

Cheers Andy! I’ll avoid trying anything new myself, I’ve too much of a backlog to get through before deciding a new shoe would be better. Hopefully Z finds something good though.
