pete’s writing also always works really well for me. he always strikes a good balance between technical and emotional accuracy, and it rarely reads like ‘writing.’

I gave Sean a lift from Glasgow airport up to Bob Sheptons place near Oban. He was just back from a rather protracted visit to the Mirror Wall, where the boat ended up with a scrapped engine. Anyway what struck me about the man was his complete lack of climbing ego and his knowledge of boxing and MMA, the sports I myself enjoy best. Top guy and glad he had the right team for the job on this occasion. 
 

He’s surely one of the greatest all around climbers who has ever lived but hardly spoke much about climbing. His main thing to say about it was “it’s not a strength game it’s a skill game”
