Hi Guys, just a simple short question,

Looking to get a resistance band to aid training, can it be any resistance band or specific?

These look cheap and cheerful will they do? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Resistance-Bands-Exercise-Mini-Set/dp/B01AMDU7L6/r...

Also keep it looped or cut it so its not looped?

Cheers in advance

Depends what you are planning on using it for... assisted pullups etc need quite a fat band, just warming up joints etc doesn't need anything as industrial.

Those mini ones are a bit limited in my opinion- the range of motion you can use them for is really small. If you cut them they are better, but still not great- not long enough for some movements and still have limited ROM at the right tension. I haven't found a better set on amazon yet or would link you.

yeah i was thinking they looked small but whether it was just the picture.

is there websites other than amazon which are better to look at ?

In general the purpose made resistance bands seem massively overpriced. You can use old inner tubes from a bike and make you're own. If you want them stronger you can always double them up. If you want them more stretchy just cut them down into thinner strips.

If you know what you you're going to use them for, ie. which exercises, then it should be fairly obvious.
