Morning ,

I was thinking of designing a sequence of moves specific to climbing from my own yoga experience and found this set of poses that climbing website lists.

https://www.climbing.com/skills/question-of-balance/

Mountain

Eagle

Warrior I

Downward Dog

Seated Twist

Bridge

.

Now it's a start for sure but I would argue that Ardha Chandrasana (half moon pose) would be good to include .

Any other poses that you think would be beneficial for climbing specifically?

Oh I thought this was going to be about what yoga pose to do for the selfie once you get to the peak or other instagramable spot.

Lizard pose is pretty good for flexibility for high steps/rockover type movements.

Yes I thought this too.

I see yoga as a way to correct the strain/imbalances which climbing places on my body, rather than as a means of training for climbing. For example:

Stretch calves and hamstrings - forward fold, downward dog

Open hip flexors, strengthen glutes - lunges, bridge, camel, pigeon, dancers

Open chest - reverse prayer, camel, dancers

Generally my favorite peak poses are those which open up the whole front body, such as camel and dancers. Probably wheel would be the ideal antidote, but after 40 years of climbing I'm much too tight to get into it!
