Anyone know what conditions are like in Cogne? Due to go out there in a weeks time so hoping for good ice climbing conditions.

A few images of new years day climbs of Repentance Super are cropping up on the Web. Conditions there look good at least.

just finished a few days climbing in Cogne.... Monday Money today... thin but climable.. 2 pitch steep.. yesterday Pattinaggio Artistico... good conditions.. 31/12... E Tutto Relativo... good condition 2 nd pitch pretty steep for the grade.. 30/12 Patri de gauche... good conditions... right hand finish looked OK... except for the guide having a toprope on it 😀... Repentance climbed today.. they said it was thin but OK... heard Asheronte was OK a couple of days ago... had a look at Cold coulier... Looks very thin at the top of the 2nd pitch but maybe OK... cascade de lilaz not formed... lilaz gully thin but OK a few days ago... so overall stuff to go at but most routes probably a bit hard for the grades at the moment... they badly need some neige here to fatten things up 😀. have fun...
