Silver Threads among the Gold (IV 5)

if you're going up tomorow.... Today's conditions challenging. Not all turf frozen. Lots of unconsolidated powder in deep drifts. The odd bit of decent ice/turf but not in abundance. We dodged between Art of aging gracefully and silver threads today and got within 5 M of top but gully exit was too steep and not consolidated. Retreat via 2 X 50m abseils. There was only 1 other team out to the left of us . Hope they faired better. 

When you say they were to the left of you were you facing the crag or facing out the way.  Or did you have your gloves on the wrong way round again?  LOL

Good effort even to try today! Massive thaw and blowing a hoolie...
