Curious how often winter climbing can happen through a season. How often do people get out?

I'll ask the magic 8 ball now 😁

I've tried twice to go and both times ended up not climbing anything but then I only have a a select few weekends I can get out. I suppose if you live there and can chase conditions you might get some climbing in

I suppose the answer is depends on the year and how good a winter we get

Snowed up rock climbs and ridges - 20-30 days a year.

Good conditions with frozen turf and a bit of ice - 0-15 days a year.

Central Icefall Direct being in - a few days every few years.

I'm happy to be corrected, I only really know about when Kinder Downfall will be in.

Equally just my opinion! Only really based on the last 7 years or so, an quite possibly pessimisitc as the lst few years have been  bit pants

Some years (2017/18 for example) - quite a lot. Other years (2018/19 for instance) not much.
