Hi all
Just wondering if anyone has any more information about the avalanche reported on the Pyg Track on Snowdon-
http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/walker-warning-after-snowd... - in particular where it actually happened?
Trying to improve my avalanche analysis (and obviously, Wales doesn't have a SAIS equivalent). So I've been looking at the weather forecasts (for Capel Curig) in the days before the avalanche happened.

The wind is pretty consistently W or SW, so I would expect windslab to accumulate on Clogwyn y Garnedd/Trinity, but not above the Pyg track, with the possible exception of the final section above the zig zags.
Is this actually where the avalanche occurred? Otherwise, I'm confused why it happened and would welcome any thoughts.
Cheers
