Following the recent Extreme Rock 2 thread here's another list to get ticking.

Nobody has done them all. Who'll be first? It's a pretty big ask.

I'm on 9 with maybe another 7 that would be realistic.

The book is out October 20th so just in time to stoke the winter psych!

Do you get the tick if you do them in summer carrying a token axe and some micro spikes on your pack?

Yes yes.

Much better climbing them with skin and rubber than trashing them with bits of metal.

Nice. Thought there would be a lot more IXs and Xs. As it is, plenty of VIs and VIIs, making it feasible for the keen enthusiast to complete a fair few. Even better, there are lots of crags, including a couple I’ve not heard of. Might have to come out of winter semi retirement…

No. You only get the tick if you do them in winter but when the rock isn’t rimed. That is the modern way.

There's at least one of them that's unrepeated and Guy didn't do the FA. I sort of wasn't including him anyway as it's his book!

Not that many routes, so it’s more a case of omissions. I’d say it’s more about showcasing the crags and style of climbing. Compiling a winter routes book is always going to be so much harder. The photos will do doubt be stunning and it looks like there are quite a few pages dedicated to each route. 
 

Edit - I don’t feel particularly qualified to comment on inclusions and omissions anyway but interested in others’ views.

If you end up completing the routes in the main body of the book there are always the named routes in the season-by-season documentation of Scottish winter climbing development that Simon Richardson (plus others) have pulled together, picking up where Cold Climbs left off … 😀
