The most Planet Friendly ropes ever made! Enjoy BEAL's rope exceptional performance with a carbon footprint reduced by 78% thanks to an innovative chemical recycling process of the yarn. Climb consciously!
BEAL has always acted as a responsible player in the Outdoor market. No overstocking, no waste. BEAL has never drawn from the Earth's resources beyond the needs expressed by its customers.
Today, BEAL goes further and presents the first low carbon impact ropes in history.
The SUNRISE 9.2mm and SUNUP 8.4mm ropes are made from 100% chemically recycled polyamide.
Beyond using a recycled material, which prevents taking new resources from the Earth, the chemical recycling process helps limit the carbon footprint of the product itself. Today, many recycled products generate more CO2 than new materials. This is not the case with the NEXIS CC thread used for the SUNRISE and SUNUP ropes. While 1kg of standard Polyamide 6 generates 6.97kg of CO2, Polyamide 6 CC generates only 1.53kg of CO2.
The SUNRISE 9.2mm and SUNUP 8.4mm ropes thus allow for a 78% reduction in carbon footprint while benefiting from BEAL's cutting-edge technologies:
- Unicore
- DryCover treatment
- Low impact force
The SUNRISE 9.2mm is a single rope at 57g/m
The SUNUP 8.4mm is a half rope at 48.5g/m
BEAL are giving you the chance to win one 70m SUNRISE 9.2mm rope, just answer the following question correctly:
Comments
Is that grams per metre per metre?
Does the dry treatment contain PFAS?
Never even crossed my mind that dry treatments would be PFAS based. It's wild how the entire industry has been knowingly profiting from poisoning us for decades and still is.
