Climbing Centre Team Member – Full time / Part Time - We offer contracted hours, industry standard pay and ongoing skills development opportunities.

We are a growing Bouldering-only centre based in Solihull, West Midlands. We offer our employees a friendly working atmosphere, in a brilliant bouldering facility with industry standard pay and benefits.

The Company: Flash Climbing Centre has been open since May 2018 and is known for the great care that we take with clients and employees alike.

The Position: We're looking for an experienced full-time / part-time member of our Climbing Centre staff.

• We offer contracted weekly hours at industry standard pay, plus statutory holidays and benefits.
• We are also committed to ongoing professional development for the right climbing focused candidate.

Requirements:

• Must be friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic.
• A genuine passion for climbing is essential (the ability to climb to at least V5 is desirable), as is an ability to share that passion with clients of all ages and abilities.
• Experience of coaching/instructing climbing groups of all ages is essential, experience of working with clients with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is desirable.
• Ideally, you have a relevant climbing qualification or working towards one.
• The ability and flexibility to work a mixture of days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the center and following all laid down operations procedures.
• Route setting as per the centre schedule working with a team and with the ability to set challenging but fun routes from VB to V10+.
• Delivering engaging climbing lessons/sessions both group and one-to-one to a broad range of junior and adult customers.
• Responsible the smooth running of the centre including duties such as working reception, use of an industry standard POS, cleaning, food preparation, and so on.
• Running group activities for customers of all ages from 18 months to adults including youth clubs and other centre activities such as birthday parties and school holiday clubs.

The Location: Flash Climbing Centre is based in Solihull. We are a 20 minutes' walk from Solihull train station and on 3 main line bus routes.
