Flashpoint Swansea will be opening soon, and we are searching for the right team to make this venue reach its potential. Located in the centre of Swansea with a world-class bouldering wall and a brand new Crazy Climb facility it's going to be a pretty special place, so we are looking for a pretty special team to bring it to life and make it an amazing space to climb, work and socialise.  

Starting:                          27th May 2022

Salary:                             £9.5 p/hr    

Place of work:                Flashpoint Swansea

Who will you report to:  Deputy Centre Manager

Work Hours:                   0-60 hrs p/mth (minimum) contacts available

Holiday entitlement:      Accrued at 12% (approx 30 days pro-rata)

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate has a passion for climbing, this being said, we will happily take on candidates who are new and interested in the industry and sport.

They can maintain a calm, approachable and professional manner, even in the face of adversity, and are willing to roll up their sleeves to help the team.

Someone who is open, honest, learns from their mistakes and is driven to help their peers and team succeed.

What's more, they will understand the incredible effect climbing can have on people's lives. By connecting them to their bodies, minds, other people and the natural environment.

Desired Experience:

  • Receptionist experience at a climbing wall or similar
  • Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • IT skills including google drive, Microsoft office and Rock Gym Pro
  • Climbing and coaching qualifications and/or experience

Overview

All-rounders will be the first point of contact for all customers, participants and visitors. They will be expected to have a firm idea of product knowledge for Flashpoint, building layout and policies. All-rounders will be expected to deliver excellent customer service to all customers within the building

While on reception all-rounders will be responsible for customer liaising, ensuring bookings, payments, safety documents are completed to expectations and regulations. All-rounders will also be responsible for cash handling, cleaning, basic cafe duties (barista and snacks), stock management and completing necessary maintenance inspections for the day, and daily departmental task lists.

All-rounders will take an active approach to ensure the safety and fun of all participants while on sessions. They will be expected to run a number of different sessions ranging from our crazy climb session to more progressional sessions such as boulder monkeys.
