Job description


As Duty Manager you will be responsible for opening and closing the centre and ensuring safe and efficient operation. This will include keeping the centre clean and tidy, upholding all TCA health and safety policies, cashing up, managing reception staff along with promoting a good atmosphere throughout the centre in order to satisfy all our customers.

As Café Manager you will be responsible for the efficient operation and management of the Café. This will include sourcing new products and ordering supplies, staff training and keeping Health and Safety records up to date.

This position will also take responsibility for our Membership Database and EPOS system.

This is a permanent position, starting in April, which entails shift work totalling 112 hours per 4-week rota. Though mostly daytime shifts, some evening and weekend shifts are required. Supplementary instructional work may also be available.

Experience and Qualifications


The successful applicant will be a self-motivated team leader who will ideally have
the following:

• A thorough understanding of working in both a café and busy climbing environment.
• Experience of working with database and EPOS systems, or a proven ability to learn how to work with and manage them.
• Climbing Wall Award or Single Pitch Award.
• 2 day Outdoor 1st aid.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
