An updated version of this guide. It contains a selection of routes in the lower - mid grades in the west "half" of Switzerland and over the boarder into the Haute Savoie of France. The 62 crags essentially run from Annecy through to Grimsel pass, with the majority in the Valais and Bernese Oberland regions. The guide includes numerous new or rebooted crags that weren't covered in the older guide. These have replaced some of the older areas that have fallen out of favour - so the 2004 version is still useful. Routes are mostly sport routes, if trad gear is needed, it is listed in the route info. A useful update for UK climbers is that the guide is now written in German, French and English (the previous guide contained Italian instead). A very useful guidebook for visiting climbers with a good variety and plenty of good routes to choose from.
