Rockfax Description
A magnificent girdle covering impressive territory at a sustained but amenable grade. The best of its genre on grit!
1) 5b, 28m. Follow Sepulchrave to the end of its traverse and continue to Suicide Wall. Follow the same line then swing down to join Requiem above its crux and take the wide crack around the arete to a belay on the ledge on Five Finger Exercise.
2) 5b, 10m. Mantel down off the ledge then reverse Tiger Traverse to a stance in Owl Gully.
3) 5b, 10m. From the gully follow the crack of Renaissance but continue out to the arete and a move up to small stance.
4) 5b, 12m. Traverse below the roof to round the arete and continue into Weston's Chimney - the logical line, or finish up Boot Hill for a better finale © Rockfax

Full route this time, There is some confusion in guides over exactly which line P3 traverses at, I went high (solid 5c) as per (BMC 2010 & Rockfax 2001) topo, Chris went low (after falling off high) which the description of the BMC 2010 text description indicates (was apparently closer to 5b given grade) and the Rockfax 2015 shows the line perhaps even lower and slightly descending! Great afternoon out, felt E2 5c,5c,5c,5b

Just the first 2 pitches before rain overcame us, must go back... 1st pitch is worth *** on its own. Reversing the Tiger traverse was hard! Edit: is much harder than doing the route left to right (the normal way)

lead pitch 2, found it hard reversing tiger traverse (green/scittily) fell off this pitch but started the traverse again from the hands off rest. had to abandon the rest of the route due to rain.

Wicked route. I'd give the pitch grades 5c, 5c, 5b, 5b.

Lead my 2 pitches cleanly but couldn't remove cams single handedly when seconding. Pitch 2 seemed quite hard for 5b. What a great climb though, all in a superb situation.

Fell off reversing the Tiger Traverse pitch. Very hard for 5b or I am going very badly (probably the latter!). First 2 pitches seem much harder than last 2 even though all get the same grade.
