Rockfax Description
An awesome route taking the middle of the Sanctuary Wall at its most intimidating. The climbing is superb. Much of the gear is in place but the climb is a serious undertaking especially in its lower reaches. Start on the highest belay ledge beneath the steepest and blankest section of the wall, 7m left of the corner of Call to Arms. Climb the wall to the right of the groove. The first peg is visible as it always has a bit of tat hanging from it. Move up and strike out left to a thin seam marked by a fixed thread and a peg. Follow the seam and then move up left to gain a thread on an overhung ramp-line that cuts across the face. Climb the steep wall above past a peg, to gain merely vertical ground just below the top. Nuts and an iron spike just below the ridge. © Rockfax
