WhipperSnapper 1 Feb AltLd Well frozen but felt thin. Not much turf on crux.

Stuart the postie 31 Jan AltLd rpt Stunning day, bitterly cold, not getting any easier with time! Fourth time climbing it, tenuous crux, forgotten how thin top slab was, spaced protection too. I seem to remember this being a romp on good turf placements, previously? For that, VI,6 would seem more appropriate.

olekemi 7 Jan, 2018 AltLd Fun, tenuous climbing. I see there is some discussion of upgrading this route. I would not protest. Linked top 2 pitches. Slab traverse was nails; slid back to chimney on first go, got it second go. Run out after that.

Webster 12 Feb, 2017 2nd dnf bailed off the top of pitch 3 (so only 1 or 2 hard moves from the easy ground). everything was thoroughly frozen and suitably white, but as it has been so dry the turf was really aerated meaning placements were still prone to rip.

Brian Pollock 11 Feb, 2017 AltLd dnf Led astray by solid turf which petered out into mush half way up the second pitch. Arranged a retreat from the first piece of reliable gear in too many metres.

Pina 11 Feb, 2017 AltLd dnf Turf in groove in upper pitch not frozen, route is reliant on the turf so we bailed onto the traverse which was fine as much more exposed.

BrianShackleton 25 Nov, 2016 AltLd Climbed in 4 pitches with final pitch from a belay taken below the thin slab. Final pitch devoid of runners and turf affected by increasingly warm air during the afternoon.

glenngordon 15 Feb, 2016 Lead O/S Some turf not completely frozen where it had snow cover but otherwise all frozen. Snow generally not consolidated although Pitch 2 had some useful ice. Great route with some exciting moments requiring neat crampon work but good turf to pull out of the steep sections. ***
