Ramshaw is home to some of the hardest routes in Britain and most of them are graded HVS - a Yosemite style tape job is the only access requirement! There are no access problems at the main crag. However, do not try and climb at Lady Rock (the buttresses on the far right above the farm house), these are not on access land, the owner lives very close and has been confrontational.
Rockfax Description
16m. The steep wall used to have some pebbles on its left-hand side. These have gone but you can still climb the slab on its right at about the same grade. The flake crack above gives sanctuary. Short-lived but both absorbing and gripping. © Rockfax

βeta: this is an absolute quality route far better than anything in the east such as pebble mill, the route originally came in from the right arete or it can still be started direct up the seam,a few pebbles seemed to have come off,but they dont seem to be of significance, i have done it recently and just as good and absorbing as when i first did it in 1989 | βeta? | |
