Rockfax Description
The centre of the slab with a jig right at two thirds-height is pleasant and poorly-protected. Finishing up the right-hand side is bolder again, E1 5a. © Rockfax

Green and granular, but but really nice when you trust it.

Just one really worrying move. Easy, but not confidence-inspiring.

Followed Graeme up. Found the moves easy enough, but think it would be a different story on the sharp end.

Rotorslap 07/Jun/15 2nd O/S

Great route, no real choice for protection following the route, maybe try a lead next time (with a pointless rope)!

BenedictIEP 23/Jul/14 Solo O/S

Cleaned on lead. Rope trailed for eleanor to do slab climb.

Had to scrub vital footholds with a toothbrush before each move!

jennifers87 12/Jul/13 TR O/S

Realised very early on that this climb had no protection. Decided to solo with the option to grab a top rope if needed. Got a 1/4 up and struggled with my feet. Climbed the remainder on a top rope. Still very tough climb. Although the rope was slack, don't think I could commit to the moves needed with out any protection

All the moves go but could never imagine leading this, not a sniff of any gear

Utterly terrifying, even done on top rope. Fantastic way to improve the technical side of my climbing. How many calories do you burn while having the fear?

Not a good choice for a warm-up: too many deviations L to get side-runners
