Rockfax Description
The centre of the slab with a jig right at two thirds-height is pleasant and poorly-protected. Finishing up the right-hand side is bolder again, E1 5a. © Rockfax

βeta: Inspected from Slab Climb, currently very dirty. Could be ok if you carry a brush, otherwise pointlessly dangerous.

βeta: It is always a bit green and crispy but the friction is fine where you need it. There is, in fact, no protection on this route although you may fiddle a skyhook in at 2/3-height. Great fun though.

Graeme Hammond 6 Aug, 2018 2nd O/S Started leading but as it was very dirty and with no gear (unless there is any marginal stuff in mud filled hairline cracks?) I didn't really fancy the risk of a leg braking (or worse) fall from a slip (I had a sensible moment!) so traverse and jumped off at mid height. Extremely bold lead (trialling rope but no gear!) by partner

Rotorslap 7 Jun, 2015 2nd O/S Great route, no real choice for protection following the route, maybe try a lead next time (with a pointless rope)!

jennifers87 12 Jul, 2013 TR O/S Realised very early on that this climb had no protection. Decided to solo with the option to grab a top rope if needed. Got a 1/4 up and struggled with my feet. Climbed the remainder on a top rope. Still very tough climb. Although the rope was slack, don't think I could commit to the moves needed with out any protection
