Superb atmospheric outing and surprisingly exposed at bottom... must have had spice in 1798!

Nice route, done as part of a link up with Lechog rib from the Jon Sparks book. Pretty glad that the bottom section was dry as I can imagine the lower section being horrendous in the wet.

Very wet - unnerving section just before reaching the bottom of the scramble.

listed as a grade 1 scramble in Jon Sparks Scrambles book; in wet conditions this significantly underestimates the seriousness of this route. The initial traverse from the foot of the Indian Face has a number of alarmingly exposed moves on greasy rock where a slip would be fatal. The terrace above is much less serious, and has some good easy scrambling in impressive surroundings. Which is just as well, as i really wouldn't have wanted to have to reverse the lower section.

Traversing from below Indian Face to the start of the route is horrendous. The moves are easy enough, but steep, wet, and the consequence of an error unthinkable.
