Please refrain from climbing outside

Due to the ongoing spread of Covid-19, please abstain from climbing outside.

At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving, but we feel this is no longer socially acceptable. You can read our statement here.

We have suspended the UKC Logbooks Top Ascents and Conditions pages and we will no longer accept ascents dated from 23rd March onwards. You can still upload your historic ascents.

Rockfax Description
Start up the left-hand side of the Sickle flake and climb the groove direct via eye-wateringly-wide bridging, very small wires and a worrying ledge beneath. At the overlap, step right into the overhanging groove left of the V-groove of Brant. Finish on the ledge above. Escape upwards or back down Brant. © Rockfax

UKC Logbook Description
Climb the left or right flake crack of Sickle to start. Wide and sustained bridging leads to the overlap. Step right and climb the short, steep groove (just left of Brant), then continue up the wall above via a flake crack (some dubious rock). Belay on the slab above. Easy traverse left to the SS Special abseil.
