The whole Eglwyseg escarpment is both a Site Of Special Scientific Interest and an European designated Special Area Of Conservation. This means that any deliberate or reckless damage or disturbance to the features of the site (inc. to nesting birds, vegetation clearance or drilling) could be regarded as a criminal act.
Rockfax Description
An absorbing route up the bold arete to a fixed wire at the left edge of the large roof. From the wire, pull strenuously into the vague groove above (thread and peg). Finish direct, moving right past a small overlap at the top. © Rockfax

βeta: Put a top rope down it and the bottom arete section is so snappy, shedding rock all over the place. The roof/crack is all a bit hollow and the fixed gear is all on its way out. Hard to justify trying to lead it in its current state, and certainly not worth two stars. Shame cos it looks brilliant from the floor. | ||
