A thoroughly enjoyable adventure taking a meandering line amongst some harder routes hereabouts. Ollie chose not to don his climbing boots to get him up to the Breakfast Ledge, prefering instead to belay from the very bottom whilst drinking coffee and eating muffins. The consequence to this was that we ended up simu-climbing as he scrambled up the lower slab so that I had enough rope to reach the Aerodrome.

The main pitch as far as the spikes, only. I surpassed my previously achieved levels of faff. After answering a call of nature I abbed down to retrieve a jammed ab rope hanging from the Aerodrome belay (which was handy as we only brought one ourselves) then abbed to the start. I'd placed the releasable cam back up knot on the other side of the krab to the other knot, so eventually I found a useable prussik system to ascend back up to free them and ab down again. By now I was warmed up. The route went much more smoothly, the hardest bit overcoming my mental block about not climbing up Peryl instead. It's tricky, not desperate, but has poorer gear than some of the other bold Main Wall E3s.
