80m. A fine traverse under the headland of Berry Head. It should not really be described as a sea level traverse since the original way finishes some 30 metres above the sea - soloists beware! It links Berry Head Quarry with the Coastguard Cliffs and is usually done R to L. It is possible at any state of the tide provided there is no swell. At www.javu.co.uk it is accurately described IMO as a VS 4c roped jaunt whilst a solo close to sea level is about 5c.

Matt Smith 18 Aug, 2018 AltLd O/S Great fun, although a bit pigeony. Lead p2 and p4, though I think I climbed the HVS route as last pitch, traversing too far left to the arete and going up overhanging flake. The guide description looked protectionless for a long way.

andy_pemberton 17 Jul, 2018 DWS So good. Done at mid tide - in and out of the barnacles. Safe water the whole way. Never harder than British 5a. R to L with the start via the cave from Arch Zawn. A long, barefooted, walk back round to my stuff though. This low version seems to be named 'Roses' on p. 286 of the new 'South Devon' guide.

Stanners 14 Jun, 2015 Lead O/S a little more involved the solo traverse start on the barnacles than expected. However decent fun once it gets going. Solo'd the last bit with a scary step across the cave.

jamie ward 6 Mar, 2015 Lead dnf Not sure were this route went, descended to beneath the Crystal corner and started to traverse round to a rib on barnacles, after 10m or so to another undercut corner, no gear or stance! Possibly to low? God knows

Cheese Monkey 14 Jul, 2011 Solo O/S We did quite a low level traverse at low tide, 4c at a push... Didnt end up 30m up either. Was nice to make up the route roughly on the way, some tricky moves
