Jumped on in strong winds and clag, annoyed that my foot popped on a slippery hold about 2 m off the ground before any of the hard climbing began! Hands were freezing so lowered down, tried to warm them up a bit then went again. Pretty hard crux low down above where I fell (especially with cold fingers) - but after that the climbing is great - really sustained, great positions. The pincer move below the roof at half height was wild in the strong wind! Brilliant route, one of my favourite pitches in the mountains.

nice long route, probably a bit sandbagged though- pretty hard and awkward moves at the start, probably 5c to gain the jug and slightly runout 5b for the pincer move. very cold, foggy and windy

Stunning day and a stunning, sustained route. My head was in excellent order, which turned out to be a good thing because this route felt very bold indeed. I followed the more obvious line that Latter describes, rather than the weird start-in-Chela option of the SMC guides. Unless I missed some crucial gear, which is possible - I am an idiot - there was groundfall potential from delicate moves at almost 10m, and a big fall looming beneath what I think must be the eponymous Pincer move under the small roof. Will thought this route was sustained 5c, I thought 5b. Either way it may be a bit of a sandbag.

That's better. Very sustained with a strenuous crux low down, a delicate 2nd crux at half height and continual interest all the way.
