Rockfax Description
A great adventure in a steep and intimidating setting and a fine first pitch. A confident leader and second is needed for this route.
1) 4b, 20m. Traverse horizontally right following an easy low line. Then climb diagonally right up and move right again onto a ledge.
2) 20m. Easy rock leads to the top. © Rockfax

Consolation to a very wet Ivory Tower, lead both pitches in the rain.

P1. A truly brilliant adventure. Overwhelming surrounding rock with big issue nearby. Heart sunk a bit when I felt how wet and greasy the starting holds were but the jugs were so sharp it didn't make any difference other than being slower and placing lots of runners! Couldn't of asked for a better way to end a great micro trip. Feels like a less travelled line which was a nice change. For various reasons probably one of my favourite routes in Pembroke!

(Lead first pitch; the second pitch is really just an easy scramble to top) Head was not in the right place for this, set off feeling bad about some technical muppetry on my part (causing time-wasting) and had that on my mind. Also I am not a happy traverser or bridger, so this lay outside my comfort zone. Oh and somehow I had only five QDs on me. Dear oh dear. As for the route, it looks insane from the belay ledge! But all makes sense once you get going. Maybe one mental and technical crux where you step across at the end of the traverse to start the ascent to the belay ledge. Plenty of gear on this. IF you have the extenders :-)

Superb first pitch in an amazing position. Very enjoyable

A good job this was here, after Jon backed off Ivory Tower. Uncomfortable belay.

Cool route, though a lot of rope drag was experienced due to the belay being round a corner. Not such a nice experience.
