A good VS with a nifty little traverse! A definate confidence builder for VS leaders!
The crag finishes on the right with a narrow facet facing out to sea. Climb the blocky groove in the facet. There is an overhang at three-quarters height with a horizontal slot. Use this to move up and left - then use the paperback-book hold - then continue left in a fine position, around the edge and up to the top.

djones66 26 Jul 2nd O/S Recommended. The traverse is the highlight- good sequence in an exposed position. Even the first groove is a bit better than it looks.

Trevers 13 May, 2018 Lead O/S Great route! The move into the traverse is committing. After the traverse, it becomes a battle against rope drag. Enjoyed it but took ages. Communication is a challenge.

wjcdean 13 May, 2018 2nd Trevs lead. An absolute bastard with a big heavy rucksack on. Dubious onsight as i did weight the rope a bit when on the traverse (done as a hand traverse first to get gear, then back with a tight rope due to belayer being out of earshot due to with wind, the finally foot traversed it). It would be nice not to have to put this disclaimer, but I'm worried Trevs would report me to the UKC police.

Rhys.Roberts 28 Oct, 2017 Lead Somehow my second time leading this my rope work was even worse. Wasn't having the best of days. Rope drag was so bad I was contemplating untying and soloing the second section. Not my proudest lead.

simoncov 7 May, 2017 Lead O/S Great exposure, always a pleasure to come around an arête with air beneath your feet. Pretty steady climbing, nothing particularly technical. Constellation of route finding, rope work, and commitment to the hand traverse make this VS. Jugs on the hand traverse are confidence inspiring and there are plenty of cam placements in that horizontal break, you can't see the "niche" from the ground, but is obvious once you come around the arête and pull up.

Etta 7 May, 2017 2nd Brilliant route. Enjoyed every move, even if I dropped my camera from 1/3 of the way up. Amazingly, the camera stopped at the bottom of the crag and is still working!

lukevf 4 Dec, 2016 Lead Didn't traverse soon enough, resulting in gear high and right, resulting in mega rope drag, resulting in doing the moves at the top with a metre of slack held in my teeth. V. unprofessional.

jungle 6 Jun, 2015 Lead O/S There is currently a Fulmar nesting here. I didn't spot it until I got right up next to it on the ledge. I would avoid this route for the time-being to avoid disturbing them.
